International Beer Day was founded in 2007 and is celebrated on the first Friday of August every year. This year it falls on August 5th 2022. This day was founded by Evan Hamilton, Richard Hernande, and Aaron Araki in Santa Cruz, California. They convinced a local bar to celebrate this very special day! They even created a website to commemorate the day, on which they expressed their gratitude to the beer industry in various ways. Quickly after their website went live, they began receiving messages from people all around the world who shared how they began to celebrate beer in their towns, cities and countries. The main focus of this day is to celebrate the craft of brewing beer and to show appreciation for those involved in the creation of this beautiful drink! It's a day for beer lovers everywhere to raise a glass to the brewers of the world and to rejoice in the greatness of beer.
